What you’ll learn
It is important for radiation safety of the patient and operator to take the best radiograph the first time.
This class will provide you with an update of dental radiographic principles and give you confidence in your skills as a dental radiographer to expose accurate and diagnostic radiographs.
The class will cover the process of planning, placing, exposing and evaluating dental radiographs to expose the best radiograph possible.
After a review of radiation safety guidelines and exposure variables, we will practice placing sensors and aligning cones for both the paralleling and angle-bisecting techniques. There will be various film holders available to work and practice with.
